RUNNING FOR CITY COUNCIL DISTRICT 2
My name is John Davis Burlingame, and I've proudly called Rosenberg home for the past 12 years. I still remember knocking on my neighbors' door before buying my first home, and their warm welcome instantly made me feel like part of something special. It's that same sense of community that's kept me here, even through challenges like the recent splash pad issues. Those challenges showed me the resilience of our community, but also highlighted the need for diverse voices and perspectives in finding solutions. That's why I'm running for City Council District 2. I've always been passionate about giving back, volunteering with organizations like Elves and More and helping wherever needed. I believe that by listening to everyone's concerns and ideas, from parents to entrepreneurs and everyone in between, we can build a brighter future for Rosenberg.
I want to hear about concerns regarding what you feel the city needs to address. If elected as your council member, I'll advocate for your suggestions and bring clear guidance to help resolve issues that need prioritizing.
Together, let's build a Rosenberg that thrives for everyone. Vote John Davis Burlingame for City Council District 2!

MY WORK HISTORY
Putting My Experience to Work
A Texan's Journey of Service
As a 5th generation Texan, my journey began young. At age nine, we moved from downtown Houston to Colorado for better education for me at Denver Academy that instilled a strong work ethic that's driven me ever since. We then moved to Pennsylvania in 1985, where education and giving back to the community through volunteering at the local theater were my priorities.
After returning to Texas in 1987, I finished schooling and served in the military. While my stay was cut short due to an allergy I developed, I transitioned to sales, learning to adapt and excel in different environments.
My true passion emerged when I started assembling bikes in 1997. There, I discovered the joy of directly helping people. This passion fueled my entrepreneurial spirit, leading me to found a company in 1999 that grew to 14 Toys R Us locations in just two years.
Challenges arose with the economic downturn, but I pivoted successfully, securing major contracts with 18 Lowe's Stores and then a contract helping Oprah Winfrey's Angel Network install 62 cocrete floors and sheds for Habitat of Humanity in 2005. My commitment to quality earned us an A+ rating.
Along the way, I faced setbacks like losing contracts due to external factors and overcoming a serious health issue. Each time, I persevered, rebuilding my company and drawing strength from helping others battling soy allergies.
The high customer satisfaction I achieved managing a large team assembling and delivering for national companies like Lowe's, and the recognition from Bloomberg News with Amazon for exceptional service, solidified my expertise.
I extended my knowledge to help others with soy allergies, becoming a leading expert in online support groups. Me and many others helped thousands of families recognize and avoid soy for a healthier life.
Now, motivated by the same drive to serve, I'm running for city council. I've witnessed the lack of maintenance and city services that desperately need updating, city charter being ignored and believe my experience and work ethic will help address community needs.
